Project Description
In 2018 I worked with Lock the Gate as a producer on ‘Adapting the Arts’, a project building the capacity of artists in mining affected communities through developmental commissions and workshops.
The project, funded by the Australia Council for the Arts, support First Nations artists in three communities to develop works reflecting their communities resistance to invasive mining projects. As part of this project, I was involved in producing Stories from the Frontline, a two day event with a day networking and skill sharing between the residency artists and artists from Mirarr (Kakadu) and Arrernte (Mparntwe/Alice Springs) communities, followed by a one day forum on creative activism attended by 60 artists and culture makers from across the Territory.
